As we approach the new year, Sperry Van Ness has initiated a truly transitional phase of its corporate life. Going forward, Sperry Van Ness will now be known as SVN. This is a pivotal change in branding that has been in the works for almost two years.

Our CEO, Kevin Maggiacomo, perhaps said it best in an interview with Bisnow:

“While we have been using SVN for years, the official name change represents an opportunity for us to more accurately describe who we are as an organization. The reality is SVN today is very different from the Sperry Van Ness we were even five years ago. The company’s namesakes and founders—Mark Van Ness, who retired in 2010, and Rand Sperry—left its franchise business a year earlier, so we feel the time was right to rebrand and focus on our collaborative and open points of differentiation.”

We are proud to present the new SVN logo.

SVN New Logo

Allow me to explain what this new logo means to us and what we hope it will prove to mean to our clients. The three pillars represent our core values of openness, transparency, and collaboration. The orange ring is our network that is supported by an outer ring of trust. The colors of SVN tie into the meaning of this new logo with blue being the color of trust and orange being the color of energy.

This is an exciting time for SVN. 2015 is coming to a close and 2016 is beginning to rise on the horizon. It is going to be a big year for us as a corporation as well as a franchise. Changing our name is just the beginning.
