Calling the Lehigh Valley an “extraordinary” soccer community, the head of the Philadelphia Union on Wednesday announced the team will have a professional minor league team based at Lehigh University beginning in March.
The team, yet-to-be-named, will be in the United Soccer League and be owned by the Union, a member of Major League Soccer, the highest level of soccer in the nation.
