A Denver firm has selected the Lehigh Valley once again to develop its latest industrial property, primed to take advantage of its proximity to Route 22.

Penntex Construction Co. of Blue Bell is the general contractor building the 514,000-square-foot logistics facility on Brodhead Road in Bethlehem Township for Black Creek Group, a Denver-based real estate investment manager.

The firm said Thursday it has $18.2 billion in development and acquisitions and views the Lehigh Valley industrial market as a key logistics area.

“Black Creek Group has been a very active developer and investor in the Lehigh Valley over the last eight years,” said David Fazekas, managing director for the Eastern Region of Black Creek Group, in a statement. “Currently Black Creek Group owns approximately 2 million square feet in the area.”
